For the past few days we have been on the move, literally! We moved from New Hamburg back to Beacon and are ready for some big ventures coming up!
We will miss our beautiful Yellow but good things are always sure to come with a little change and we couldn’t be more excited for them!
(Lets just call this out – say ‘Hello’ to those gorgeous bruises I received while moving – THANKS to the banister at the top of our stairs- just in time for the summer weather..)
We desperately needed a little road trip to break up the moving and heard about a workshop in Hudson, NY.
This was the perfect excuse to take a little time out!
The drive wasn’t bad at all and only took about an hour and 20 minutes!
We loved this shop!
ec.o.sys.tem is right on Warren street featured on the ground floor of what looked like an older house.
You walk through this cute lit-up alley and once inside its very hard to leave!
Each display is delicately done with natural woods, industrial metals and organic materials like antlers creating a unique vibe that we pretty much fell in love with.
The attention to detail as you walked through the space was so inspiring, especially because the owners focus so much on sustainable products.
It was hard to believe all of these wonderful pieces had such a unique story behind them, “handpicked collections focusing on fair-trade, eco-living, earth treasures and all products handmade.” I was very close to buying a nice pair of sunnies made from recycled skateboards and I’m still thinking about them -all the more reason to go back!
When someone says turn around its generally a good a idea to strike a pose while doing so.
We had spare time before the workshop and stopped in Le Gamin Country for a quick bite to eat!
Everything about this place is great.
(I obviously thought so and apparently had to tell someone about it..)
This was a beautiful antique shop that had a bar on one side and gorgeous antiques on the other.
When we came back later that afternoon the garage doors had opened up to a parking lot with three or four food trucks serving up some tasty grub that smelled heavenly!
This was just what we needed!
The food was delicious, the garden was so peaceful and relaxing and the Mimosa and Allagash didn’t hurt either!
Now back to the move.
See you soon Hudson!
