For Sarah and myself, it is always the little things that bring a space to life during special occasions. The small details are meant to make the space unique and inspiring to the individual whom we are celebrating.
We wanted to add a little of our DIY touch to this shower in addition to all the decor planned by the talented bridesmaids.
Our hopes were to encompass the brides aesthetic through jeweled toned backdrops and dainty rose and lavender lingerie sachets.
After all, this was her day and we wanted to make sure she was celebrated!
The first project was inspired by a friend of mine who had hand dyed coffee filters and created a beautiful flowing window display.
We put a twist on it by cutting the coffee filters into smaller circles and used spray painted straws to create space between each colorful dyed piece of filter.
…and when you have a friend who is willing to help you hand string each and every one of these little circles you thank them. So thank you, Kari!Backdrops are the best photo-ops and it is a nice way to add color and texture to any room!
The lingerie sachets were the perfect little thank you for each guest to take home. We customized each muslin sachet with a stencil made by Fabhaus with the bride and grooms wedding logo. Each sachet was to be filled at the guests’ desire with dried roses petals and lavender. Oops, looks like Sarah forgot her gloves; but I secretly wish my hand was painted in GOLD too.
